Born Sami Carter-Oberstone, she is a stylist, entrepreneur and model with DT Model Management who created the editorial and artistic collaboration website Sami Miro Vintage. She obtained a BA in marketing from Santa Clara University before earning a Master’s in global entrepreneurship from the University of San Francisco. She began working for a start up company in 2010 which would become Sol Republic. She was a state champion of Junior Gymnastics in 2000. She and her older brother were raised by a single father in San Francisco. Her father worked in business analytics and her mother in periodontics. She and Zac Efron started dating in September of 2014.
