Well the very popular food delivery app, DoorDash is in big trouble for allegedly STEALING tips!

Here’s a tip for DoorDash: try not to get sued by the DC Attorney General! Oops, too late! According to the just-filed lawsuit, the food delivery company took millions of dollars in customer tips, and instead of giving it to delivery-people directly, the “tips” were put towards their base pay! DoorDash announced changes to its policy in August, but hasn’t offered any back-pay to the affected employees. I don’t know, DoorDash… you’re making a pretty strong argument for take-out!
Here’s a new entry for the ‘you had one job’ file: A North Carolina firearms instructor accidentally shot himself at work! According to the Wake County Sheriff’s Office, the incident happened when the instructor was re-holstering his gun. He suffered a non-life-threatening bullet wound to the leg… and will hopefully spend his recovery time looking up all the meanings of the word ‘safety’!
An man serving a 24-year sentence in a Nigerian maximum-security prison managed to pull off a million-dollar scam… from within jail! According to Nigerian officials, he used a “network of accomplices”, as well as unauthorized access to a cell phone and the internet. He also reportedly visited with family in hotels when he was supposed to have been transferred to a hospital! I don’t know much about prison… but I’m pretty sure that’s not how it works! Back in a flash!
