The Department of Homeland Security wants to take your face! More specifically, it wants to implement, quote, “a seamless biometric entry-exit system that uses facial recognition.” That description is taken from a recent filing, where the DHS proposed rule changes that would allow all travelers to be photographed when entering or leaving the U.S. To be clear, that’s ALL travelers, INCLUDING U.S. citizens!
The FBI just issued a warning to all Americans about Smart TVs. They know that a lot of people just bought them through all the amazing Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals. And they want to reminded everyone that these TVs are connected to the internet. Not only that but many also have built-in cameras; therefore, they’re highly exploitable by hackers! The FBI recommends looking up your TV’s features, changing the default security settings… and maybe throwing some black tape over that camera!
An apple a day keeps the doctor away, which is why we’re so psyched about a brand new breed of apple! Cosmic Crisp is a whole new variety, one that’s been in development for over TWENTY YEARS! The apple, which was developed by a horticulturist working with Washington State University, has been described as firm, juicy, and crisp. Perhaps more importantly, it takes a long time to brown after being cut open… and can last in refrigeration for OVER TEN MONTHS! Seems kind of unnatural to this farm girl, but hey, to each their own.
