Well Google is in the news today, not for some algorithm change or anything, but for a pretty massive management upheaval!

Google co-founders Sergey Brin and Larry Page are handing over the reins. They’re ceding day-to-day control of Google’s parent company, Alphabet, to current Google CEO Sundar Pichai. Of course, the two may be trying to get out while things are still good; the company is currently dealing with antitrust issues, and the whole industry is being scrutinized for its handling of user data. Either way, they’re both billionaires, and when you Google “Google founders”, it’s them!
Speaking of billionaires, a different one is apparently buying the New York Mets! Controversial hedge fund billionaire Steve Cohen will be acquiring an eighty percent stake in the team. The agreement apparently gives the Mets a valuation of TWO-POINT-SIX BILLION dollars, and in case you’re wondering, yes, that’s a baseball record! Of course, Cohen’s old firm had to plead guilty to securities fraud in 2013… so maybe he has some inside information!
They say there’s no such thing as bad publicity, but I’m betting the people at Peloton disagree. Its commercial “The Gift That Gives Back” has put the company in the middle of a HUGE firestorm! Turns out most people think a man giving his hot wife an exercise bike is NOT in the spirit of the holidays! Peloton stock plummeted a whopping NINE PERCENT on Tuesday, causing the firm to drop more than a BILLION dollars in value! Maybe Peloton should focus on ITS OWN fitness for awhile! Don’t go away!
