Hello, everyone, and welcome to Naked News. I’m Frankie Kennedy.
And I’m Sarah Harlow. We’ve got a great show today, which includes not one but TWO Guest Anchors, Bree Brooks and Hazel Grace.
Two women we can’t get enough of for sure! First up though today Sarah, I want to ask you about AI. Are you worried that AI is going to replace a lot of humans at their jobs?
Well, the prediction WAS that AI would replace some jobs and that it would also CREATE them as well.
And one major bank in Asia is a perfect example of what we can expect.

Thanks Sarah and hello, everyone. Singapore’s biggest bank is being taken over by AI! That’s the dramatic way of saying that DBS has announced plans to reduce its workforce by roughly four thousand people over the next three years as AI takes over more work. Currently, the bank employs around forty thousand people, and it stressed that this reduction would come through “natural attrition” with temporary and contract workers, NOT permanent staff! It also said that about 1000 NEW AI related jobs would be created. Clearly a sign of the times and definitely not the last bank we’re going to hear this from.
Elon Musk is once again crying “Wolf!” – or at least “Doge!” – but this time, he says he really means it! Over the weekend Musk gave federal workers an ultimatum: send us an email justifying your work or lose your job. The “deadline” he gave was Monday. Then on Monday night he gave federal workers one more chance by tweeting out, and I quote, “Subject to the discretion of the President, they will be given another chance. Failure to respond a second time will result in termination”, end quote. No new deadline was set and there was no comment on the many agencies who told staff to ignore it!
And Apple has just committed to spending over 500 BILLION dollars in the U.S. over the next four years! Among other things, Apple will be opening a new manufacturing facility in Houston, which will produce servers that’ll “play a key role” in powering Apple Intelligence. The company is also opening the Apple Manufacturing Academy in Detroit, which will offer free in-person and online courses that teach workers skills like project management.
It’s hard to know how much this is an expansion of what was already planned – but either way, quite a chunk of change and a WIN for President Trump. I’m Bree Brooks, stay tuned for more Naked News.
