Kate Hudson has been a movie star for as long as we’ve known her, but the new Netflix series Running Point gives us a chance to really see what she can do on TV. Although, just like basketball, TV is a team sport, and she’s got a great team here. Including Lakers president and co-owner Jeanie Buss, who’s obviously the inspiration for this series and is also an executive producer!
Also on the “team” for this series? Writer-producers Mindy Kaling, Ike Barinholtz, and David Stassen. And if you’re not familiar with those three, trust me – it bodes well! Running Point begins streaming Thursday on Netflix.
Nine Bodies in a Mexican Morgue is an enticing name for a series, and it’s largely the premise. Nine people who survive a plane crash end up getting murdered, and the last survivor is presumably the one killing them! And, because we’re with them, it’s not just a Whodunnit, but also a Who’s Doing It!
Because he’s the biggest star, I want to think Eric McCormack lasts awhile… but sometimes, that’s how they get you! Nine Bodies in a Mexican Morgue premieres Sunday on MGM+.
It’s kind of amazing that with so many “David vs. Goliath” stories that it’s practically its own genre, I’ve never seen a LITERAL “David vs. Goliath” before. Well, thanks to the new Prime series House of David, all that’s about to change. Let’s get biblical!
It’s pretty unlikely… but I would really love it if the first time King Saul appears on screen, someone said “That’s Saul, folks!” Guess I’ll know soon enough: House of David launches Thursday on Prime. I’m Cecelia Sommer, and that’s what’s happening, Inside the Box.
