Hello, all you fabulous people! I’m Tia Larose, and welcome to a sexy new week here at Naked News! And I DO mean sexy because get this, my MOM is auditioning this week! Not only that, but she’s going to sit with me for a fully naked Schmooze AND we’ll be going head to head in a Twerk Pong Versus. We’re definitely kicking things up a bit this week. First things first though! Let’s get to the news!

A grassroots organization is pushing for Americans to BOYCOTT big businesses this coming Friday! “The People’s Union USA” says the

“February Twenty-Eight Economic Blackout” is a reaction to ever-rising costs. John Schwartz, the man behind the group, says he wants to prove that corporations don’t run the economy – the consumers do, and that a boycott will “turn the tables”. He hopes that millions of people will stop ALL spending at major retailers for the day. Consumer spending makes up nearly SEVENTY percent of the U.S. Gross Domestic Product, so the power really IS with the people!

Egg prices have become a symbol of those ever-rising costs in America, with the average dozen now costing about four-ninety-five. So, many people are eliminating the middleman and getting their own CHICKENS! Hatcheries across the country report HUGE upticks in interest, along with sales of chicken FEED. There are even companies RENTING hens out! But EGG-sperts warn that the startup and maintenance costs for raising chickens could cost MORE than buying eggs!

And brace yourselves! According to Bloomberg, HOOTERS is in talks to file for bankruptcy protection! The infamous “breastaurant” already closed about forty of its locations last year, and reports say more closures could happen during its potential restructuring. It’s been a ROUGH few years for the restaurant industry in general. In the period between 2015 and 2024, restaurant prices have jumped roughly forty-four percent, and casual dining outlets have seen BIG declines in traffic. Once-mighty chains like Red Lobster and TGI Friday’s have all filed for bankruptcy in the past few months.

That’s your first peek at the headlines! I’ll be back with a few more later in the show, so don’t go anywhere!
