Welcome everyone, I’m Laura Desiree. There’s been a lot of talk lately about the amount of misinformation, conspiracy theories and fake news clogging up social media sites. Some companies are taking this seriously, while others, (FACEBOOK) aren’t! Twitter is, by far, leading the charge, and they’ve just targeted another fringe movement that’s picked up a lot of steam online lately, particularly in the United States. That story leads off today’s Bulletins.

Laura, QAnon is a wide-ranging unfounded conspiracy theory that President Trump is battling a clandestine “deep state” network of political, business, media and entertainment elites. And Twitter has had enough of it. In a statement shared on the platform, Twitter said it would permanently suspend accounts that violate its policies while tweeting about QAnon. The suspensions are expected to affect about 150,000 accounts worldwide. Last year the FBI issued a warning about QAnon, and designated their theories as a potential domestic extremist threat.

Whole Foods might be in a Whole lot of trouble! The Amazon-owned grocery chain is facing a class-action lawsuit from several of its employees. They claim that they were punished for wearing Black Lives Matter face masks. The company has a dress code that prohibits clothes with non-company messages… but the lawsuit claims that was enforced selectively, and it was never an issue when people wore things with sports logos on them! The US State Department and Secret Service are offering up to TWO MILLION dollars for information leading to the arrest of two international hackers! Ukrainian nationals, Artem Radchenko and Oleksandr Ieremenko, stand accused of hacking the Securities and Exchange Commission back in 2016 and stealing confidential business information. Hmmm… maybe I could be a honey pot?! Don’t go away!
